With Lost Kingdom — Aureavia Mirabilis, I wanted to imagine a species where bird and plant feel almost inseparable. The bright bird sits among oversized flowers and layered tropical leaves, as though it belongs completely to this strange, abundant world.
This piece is part of my Lost Kingdom series, where I explore fictional natural forms through colour, pattern and botanical detail. Aureavia Mirabilis has a sense of theatre to it, bold orange blooms, yellow flowers, deep greens and a bird full of movement and warmth. It feels like something discovered in a forgotten paradise, but brought to life through imagination rather than science.
Vibrant, detailed and full of energy, the print brings colour and character into a room. It works beautifully as a standalone statement piece or alongside the other botanical plates from the Lost Kingdom collection.
