FABRIC

What fabrics do you print on?

100% cotton Panama - £85 per metre

Linen Blend (50% Linen, 40% cotton and 10%Nylon) - £95 per metre

What are your fabrics suitable for?

Our printed cotton and linen are suitable for light and domestic upholstery.

Do you have fabric samples?

We recommend ordering a sample before placing an order for fabric or cushions. Please note we cannot guarantee colour matches between batches of cloth. If you have had a Kitty McCall sample for an extended period, we recommend updating that sample before ordering.

What is the nature of your fabrics?

Our Fabrics are made from natural fibres. Each woven product has unique characteristics, from nubs and slubs to flecks. The varied nature of yarns brings a distinctive look and feel to the fabric, and these imperfections are characteristics of the fabric, not flaws. As a result, some batches of fabrics can have more nubs and slubs than others. For this reason, it is the nature of the fabric to have irregularities within the cloth. We do our best to ensure that this is minimised, but please consider this when making your purchase.

How do I care for my fabric?

We recommend washing fabrics and cushion covers on a cold, delicate cycle with a dye-free detergent to keep your fabric looking its best. It's essential to have your cushion covers zipped to ensure the cushions don't get tangled or damaged. Finally, hang or line dry your cushion covers. Please do not tumble dry cushions or fabric, and it's best to iron your fabric whilst it is damp.

If fabrics have been made into blinds or curtains, we recommend that they are dry cleaned and not washed.

It is the nature of printed natural fabrics to fade eventually. Therefore, to ensure that your fabrics last as long as they should, we recommend that you should keep upholstery fabrics out of direct sunlight and that curtains are lined with a black-out liner.

Are your fabrics fire and water-resistant?

All fabrics are suitable for upholstery, curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings. For upholstery, a flame retardant interliner must be used. If you need your fabric to be fire treated, we can use a 3rd party treatment facility at an extra cost. Don't hesitate to get in touch with support@kittymccall.com for a quote.

Our fabrics are not water resistant. Therefore, please allow for approximately 5% shrinkage on all treated fabrics.

How do you wash your cushions?

The best way to wash cushion covers is on a cold, delicate cycle with a dye-free detergent. It's important to have your cushion covers zipped to ensure the cushions don't get tangled or damaged. Hang or line dry your cushion covers and avoid a machine dryer. Your fabric may be damaged by heat or shrink in the dryer.
