Catherine Nice - Founder of Kitty McCall

Welcome to Kitty McCall

I’ve always been drawn to colour in the way some people are drawn to stories. For me, colour is a feeling before it is a shade, and pattern is a way of understanding the world — layered, expressive, full of life. Over the years, that instinct has grown into a studio practice built around imagination, nature, and the quiet joy of creating something that feels alive.

I began as a textile designer, but my work has shifted into something broader and more narrative. I now build worlds in chapters,  art, textiles and ideas that evolve slowly and intentionally. Each piece begins in my sketchbooks: flowers observed on walks, colours pulled from books, fragments of imagined landscapes. My aim is always the same: to make art that feels warm and human, something to live with rather than simply look at.

Our Values

Joyful Storytelling

Colour is my language, and every chapter begins with a story, a feeling, a moment, a spark. Whether it’s imagined flora or a pattern shaped by nature, each piece is created to bring a sense of life and narrative into your home.

Considered Making

I work slowly and intentionally. Sketches, paintings and digital layers evolve at their own pace, and only when the world feels whole do I release it. Small runs, thoughtful materials and careful craft ensure each piece feels made with purpose, not speed.

Artful Living

My work is for real homes, places filled with books, light, plants, conversations, mess, beauty and everyday life. Whether it’s a print, a fabric or a textile piece, each design is created to sit comfortably with the things you already love, adding joy and depth without overpowering the space.

From the Studio to You

Everything is created in-house, from the first sketch to the final piece. I don’t follow trends or seasonal cycles; instead, I build stories over time and share them when they’re ready. Each order is prepared with care, sometimes with a small gift tucked inside a quiet thank you for supporting independent, thoughtful work. My aim is simple: to offer art that feels personal, crafted with intention and made to bring lasting joy into your everyday life.
